5 Photography hacks

5 Hacks Of Photography, Which Will Speed Up Your Photography Game
1 : Create Your Own Lightbox
For this photography hack, you will need a sheet of paper and tape. As you can see from the pictures below, you should tape the paper to a window first. Place your subject in front of the paper and switch your camera to Av mode (aperture to f/8, set the ISO to 100). After that, go to the Exposure Compensation and dial in +1 or +2, check your focus and shoot.

2 : Make Custom Bokeh Shapes
For our next photography hack, you’ll need a DSLR camera, a lens with a large aperture (small F-stop number) and a bit of knowledge about bokeh photography. Let’s make a list of things needed for this hack.
  1. A piece of black paper
  2. Pencil
  3. A pair of scissors
  4. Duct tape
  5. Craft knife to make different shapes.
  6. Also, put on some Christmas light as if it was that time of the year.
Make a round tube that fits nicely to your lens, and connect it to the lens. On the other end of the tube, attach your cut paper as shown in the 2nd photo below. Then use a low aperture setting (for bokeh) and shoot in manual focus mode towards your light source through the cutout holes/shapes. You’ll need to adjust the focus ring to get the desired bokeh effect/shapes.

3 : Thrilling Shadow Effects With a Tea Strainer
The old tea strainer is our next perfect photography hack. This is perfect if you want to use natural light through a window or small opening. Make sure the light is strong enough and the subject is close to the strainer. If you arrange it so, you can get strong shadows which cast beautiful patterns that highlight depth.

4 : Hack Your Phone Camera to Take Macro Photos
Your phone camera can achieve great close-ups but you’ll need to follow this hack in order to get the most out of it. Follow these steps below:
  1. Find some old laser pointer
  2. Inside of the pointer, there is a focusing lens
  3. Remove it for later use
  4. Use a hairpin to hold the lens (as in image no.4)
  5. Affix this it to your phone’s camera using tape
  6. Take a picture ( we used coin as an example)
  7. Zoom in if you want to see close-ups

5 : Use A Business Card To Bounce Flash
Only two things are needed for this simple photography hack: a business card and a pair of scissors. Below we list the steps for this hack:
  1. Pop your flash and mark the two arms of the flash (which connects it the camera body) on your business card
  2. Cut the business card using scissors along the marked lines (about 1 cm deep)
  3. Attach the business card to the flash as shown below and shoot away.

Wildlife,beauty and nature of dooars

Wildlife, Beauty And Nature of Dooars

Hello, everyone I am Aditya Kanjilal and I am back with another article of my trip to Dooars. This trip contents a lot of adventure and excitement. So, lets start the article.
We boarded the train from Sealdah to Hasimara and it would take 13 hours to reach Hasimara from Sealdah. We reached Hasimara around 1 P.M in the afternoon and we all were really exhausted. After reaching to the station we rented a taxi which will be taking us to Madarihat. In Madarihat we booked our hotel and from Hasimara station it would take 45 minutes approx to reach Madarihat. Everybody was exhausted and tired because of this long journey. We all freshen up ourselves and had our lunch. After taking a hour rest we went to visit the nearest museum and that was Jaldapara National Museum along with Jaldapara National Park. We cannot enter the park cause it was already 4 P.M and the park closes at 4 P.M. So, we visited the museum. Tickets of the museum were really reasonable, it was only of 20 rupees each. The museum was a really nice to place to visit cause it gives us the knowledge of Jaldapara's history and civilization. After was all the artifacts of all the extinct animals and reading everything about the Jaldapara's history, we were went to click some pictures of the water stream which was near to the museum. As you guys know that I am a photographer and a cinematographer, I need to click pictures and shoot videos of the place or else this trip won't worth to me. Here are the pictures of the water stream:

After clicking pictures and shooting videos we went back to the hotel. It was tiring day but we got to know about the history, culture and wildlife of the Dooars. We had our dinner at hotel and went to sleep and eagerly waited for the next day to come. The next day was really to going to get adventurous cause we were going to the Jaldapara National Park and take a gypsy tour to the jungle. The tickets were 120 rupees each and there would be two person along with us. One is the guide and one is the forest department individual with a armed weapon. They keep armed weapon cause it a jungle and you never know what is going to happen next, so we all got in the jeep and waiting it to depart. Finally it departed and we were going to the heart of the jungle to witness the wonders of nature. We saw a Royal Bengal Tiger with our eyes sitting under a tree and resting and also watched the famous Leopard of Jaldapara. Here are some pics of the Tiger and Leopard that we saw:Aditya KanjilalAditya Kanjilal
After watching the hunters of Jaldapara, we went to watch the beautiful birds of Jaldapara. We went at the top of a watch tower, were I can set up my camera and wait for the beautiful birds to come. And finally they came to us and got some pictures of them. Here are some of the pictures:

After watching the wonders of nature, its time to return back to the hotel and prepare ourselves for the next adventurous day. The gypsy tour was really amazing and adventurous for us cause watching a group of Tigers and Leopards with that distance is more of a experience. We returned back to the hotel and went to the market to see some of the Jaldapara products. After all the tiring and adventurous day we had our dinner and went to sleep to prepare ourselves for the next adventurous and trilling day.
The next day we were ready to visit a monastery which is located in Bhutan. The monastery's name is Gumpha Monastery and is a hanging monastery which is situated at the top of a mountain. We rented a car to take us to the Gumpha Monastery and show us the other sightseeing of Bhutan. We started our journey to Gumpha from Madarihat at 11 A.M in the morning and reached Gumpha within 2 P.M. When we reached at the top of the mountain at the monastery, we were really excited and amazed watching the whole Bhutan from the top of the mountain. Here are some pictures of the Bhutan from the top of the mountain:

(I cannot click the photo of the monastery because we did not have any permission to click pictures of the monastery)
After meditating inside of the monastery, we went to the Bhutan City to buy some of the Bhutanese products. We bought some leather jackets and liquors from the market. I was really amazed that it was that the prices of everything are very cheap. We even tasted the Bhutanese wine that was famous and it was really nice and tasty. After all the things it was time to return back to hotel at Madarihat. We reached back at night cause in the we were stuck in a jam and it was really frustrating. At some point of time I thought that we are again back in Kolkata cause the traffic are almost the same of Kolkata. We reached hotel, had our dinner and just went to sleep right away cause we don't have any energy to stay awake and had talk with each other.
The next day we were visiting the riverbed of the Buxaduar. We place Buxaduar Riverbed is only visible for some moths and that is from the month of January to the month of May. And it again fills up when the rain comes. It is really awesome to watch something like this cause standing on the riverbed of Buxaduar is really dangerous as well as thrilling and adventurous. Here are some of the pictures of the Buxaduar Riverbed:Aditya KanjilalAditya Kanjilal
This was really exciting to watch this kind of natures creation. And after staying for the long on the riverbed we went to a temple which is also situated on the top of a mountain and it was really nice to trek up to the temple. After praying in the temple we trek down to the riverbed again and something happened which wasn't expected by us. The car got stuck in the small river stream in which we were returning to the hotel. The Tyre of the car was always getting stuck by some of the riverbed stones and rocks. After that we got down from the car and started to push the car and final after a long trial of pushing and pulling the car it finally came out and we fortunately got to return back to hotel.
Finally it was the last day of the trip and the last day was really a heck of a day with all the car got stuck and stuffs but we really enjoyed a lot in this trip and it came to a end and we all return back to Kolkata. And that was my Dooars trip.
Hope you all will like this article and share this more with our friends and family and if you want to visit Dooars, then I would say you will love it and enjoy and thrill.

Thank you,
Aditya Kanjilal
